“Saw 3-D” releases a skin-tearing, throat-ripping good time.

“Hereafter” may go over your head
“Hereafter” may be one of the best films released this year, but most who see it probably won’t think so. I know because as I was walking out of the theater, soaking it all in, I overheard the disappointed spectators around me saying how bad it was and how nothing happened. Unfortunately for those people […]
Review of SUTV’s November movies
November is here. It is the month where we look back and take some time to express our gratitude and stuff our bellies with delicious food. Sharks United Television is feeling the spirit of the holiday, as their movie listings for November are going to give Sharks on campus plenty to be thankful for.
“Paranormal Activity 2” You’ll never look at your house the same way again
“Psycho” made us afraid of the shower. “Nightmare on Elm Street” made us afraid to fall asleep. “Poltergeist” made us afraid to look under the bed. And “Paranormal Activity 2” makes sleeping on the couch a nightmare.
Puking, dunking and flying — that’s “Jackass 3D”
It’s always been a mystery to me just how much Johnny Knoxville and his friends get paid to repeatedly get beaten in the genitals. But, if you liked “Jackass” and “Jackass 2,” then you’ll enjoy this one. “Jackass 3D” retains the previous films’ reputation for being amusing, gross and shocking.

I know I was channeling The Count about halfway through the movie, wondering how many more minutes I had to go before the film ended.
Okay, let her in
Forget the wimpy vampires in “Twilight” who glitter in the sunlight and recite poetry. “Let Me In’s” young blood-drinker burns alive in the sun and would rather rip your throat out than hear Shakespeare. But, c’mon guys, she’s hungry.
Friend suggestion: “The Social Network”
Director David Fincher and writer Aaron Sorkin, with Kevin Spacey in the executive producer chair, engineered a skillfully entertaining film, fueled with talent that keeps you marveling through the end. Every word, every scene and within every character shines genius, humor, irony, and most of all, the guts that make this film significant to the Facebook generation.
Owls that do more than hoot
Zack Snyder has never directed a romantic comedy. Why would he? When you can direct a movie that makes owls look as fierce and heroic as the Spartans he created in “300,” there is nothing else you need to be doing. This is what you were born to do Mr. Snyder.
