Located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale on Andrews Avenue, Tap 42 was recently voted best restaurant in South Florida by the South Florida Business Journal. Its brunch has been so successful that Tap 42 was selected as one of the 15 best brunch spots in South Florida by Boca Life Magazine. Whether you go […]

Spice up your life at Thai Spice
Located in Ft. Lauderdale, Thai Spice has won many awards throughout the years and it’s easy to see why. The restaurant is consistent with creative, tasty dishes and chic atmosphere. It would be a perfect place for a romantic date or a work lunch.
Was it really worth the wait for a table?
Piñon Grill is one of Boca Town Center’s somewhat-hidden gems. Because it is in the same area as Grand Lux Cafe, The Capital Grille and California Pizza Kitchen, Piñon Grill is often overlooked, as those familiar brands stand in its way.
A dinner night done right
When you first walk into “Tanzy”, it’s as if you just stepped into a tropical rainforest. Right in front, you see what looks like a wooden jungle gym where they are serving drinks. It is none other than the Cocoon Lounge, which is made entirely out of Malaysian wood. The whole restaurant takes on this dreamy, exotic, yet, sophisticated rainforest theme with bonsai trees and vines sprawling all over the walls.
Restaurant Review: Fogo de Chao
Fogo de Chao is a “churrascaria” — Brazilian steakhouse — that brings the gaucho spirit to South Florida. The restaurant offers an international flavor in an international city. Inside, I was greeted warmly and led into a restaurant with tall ceilings, modern furnishings and plenty of open space.

The Spanish tapas chain 100 Montaditos has expanded its reach and added flair to the South Florida culinary scene with several new locations, including one in the Fountains shopping center on University Drive in Plantation, Fla.

Nestled in the International Mall, off of Flagler Street in Miami, Taitas’ cooked-to- order cuisine will transport you and your taste buds straight to Peru. Right as I approached the outdoor eatery, I was greeted enthusiastically by […]
Restaurant Review: Your Big Picture Café
When I first walked into Your Big Picture Café, I was greeted by a large display of herbs on my right and a comfy-looking seating area on my left. The color pallet of the entire room reminded me of coffee. There were chocolate-colored display cases and cream-colored walls. The walls had copper stencils of swirls […]
Restaurant Review: El Agave Azul
El Agave Azul is nestled into a quiet shopping plaza next to the bustling 595 Expressway. Its small storefront is topped with an unassuming neon sign that only reads, “TACOS.” It is, one would assume, a Mexican restaurant, but nothing on the outside suggests how good their food is.
Restaurant Review: Primanti & Friends
The Steel City and good satisfying food is what defines Primanti Bros., a Pittsburgh Pennsylvania institution since 1933 that has also been a Fort Lauderdale favorite since 1970. It is certainly the best pizza in town when compared with other local eateries, but the big attraction to Primanti Bros. are their huge Almost Famous Sandwiches.
