NSU hosts guest speakers from the Holocaust Museum

 NSU will be hosting a public event with guest speakers from the US Holocaust Memorial Museum in the Miniaci Performing Arts Center on Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. A moderated discussion featuring the experiences of both a Holocaust survivor as well as a Syrian refugee will be held at the event.

SPECIAL CULTURAL MENU FOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Shark Dining is featuring a special menu for Black History Month at Food Bar located in the Don Taft University Center, as well as the HPD Café located in the Health Profession Divisions building. Cajun and Caribbean foods such as fried plantains, jerk chicken, and shrimp Etoufee will be served. The special menu will be available at both locations on the Fridays of Feb. 17 and Feb. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

ANNUAL OPTICAL STYLE SHOW

The Eye Care Institute will be holding an Optical Style Show on April 5 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Sanford Ziff Healthcare Center. High-end fashion brands will be there to showcase their wares, and include labels such Prada and Tory Burch. All frames and lenses will also be 25 percent off. Froggy from Y100’s Elvis Duran and the Morning Show will also be at the event from 5-7 p.m.

NSU Take Over Night at BB&T Center

 NSU will be hosting a Take Over Night at the BB&T Center to watch the Florida Panthers vs. Calgary Flames hockey game. NSU students and faculty are eligible for discounted tickets, which can be purchased at oss.ticketmaster.com/aps/panthersnhl/EN/promotion/home.
