Honoring Dr. Anthony J. DeNapoli

NSU mourns the loss of Dr. Anthony J. DeNapoli, dean of undergraduate admissions and international affairs, who passed away earlier this year. The university will host a virtual memorial event to honor DeNapoli on Feb. 26 from 12-1 p.m. There will also be a live-streamed Parade of Flags to honor DeNapoli’s legacy and recognize everything he has done for the university since joining the community in 1995.

Any student who has been impacted by DeNapoli is asked to consider carrying a flag in the ceremony. Students participating in the event must be available on Feb. 26 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. There will be a practice run-through prior to the event on Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. that anyone participating is strongly suggested to attend. Register to carry a flag via this link. All attendees will be required to wear a face mask and maintain social distance during the event.

While many students will not be able to speak during the live event due to time limitations, anyone who is interested in sharing their thoughts and memories of DeNapoli are encouraged to submit a video beginning with “When I think of Dr. DeNapoli, I…” here.
