What’s new about Taylor’s Versions?

Taylor Swift is known for her record-hits, girl-boss attitude and exceptional music artistry. She has taken on the challenge of re-releasing her old albums and calling them, “Taylor’s version.” After her album releases of Lover, Folklore and Evermore she has dominated the industry by proving not only to herself, but to her fans and even haters she is more than capable of standing on her own and being her own artist.

Given Swift’s past controversy of who owns her music, and a lawsuit she was involved in about copyright claims, it has been a long-time coming of Swift not only taking a stand but claiming her music. This was a big factor and main indicator as to why she decided to re-record her past albums.

It is truly inspirational to see how much she has grown as an artist. Swift’s maturity and skill has developed so much to the point where her old songs feel new. This allows for unbelievable creative opportunities and change for fans to not only enjoy themselves once again but to experience a whole new identity that she has evolved into.

Swift had previously released the long-awaited ten-minute version of one of her most famous breakup songs titled “All too Well.” Which had monumentally taken over social media platforms for weeks and was considerably played over and over. Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink’s acting in the cinematic music video showed an incredible dynamic of two lovers whose love story was complicated, yet beautiful to witness. The highs and lows of love were exemplified and displayed well throughout the short film. The music and lyrics spoke volume and had an interesting take on how love and toxic relationships are viewed through certain eyes.

It is amazing what artists can create, as reinventing yourself seems like a challenge to others but Taylor Swift seems to do it with ease and style.

Swift has become a mastermind of clue-dropping and foreshadowing her next endeavors which keeps fans on their toes.

Her plans are always a mystery, but fans have speculated that Swift will re-release her albums in a specific order pertaining to a timeline of her life. She has done amazing work with her first re-release of “Fearless” and now “Red,” so fans are frantically trying to find out what she will do next. Many think she will produce another one of her old albums, either “Speak Now” or “1989.” These are two viable options because of the amount of clues found and hinted at in her posts promoting the “Red” album.

Swift has not only created music that will be remembered forever but has evolved as an artist and human being. Her work is relatable and fits well within what is current. She provides hope for young people who listen to her songs religiously. Overall, her fanbase and followers are consumed by what she will do next, and when it comes to Taylor’s version the guessing game continues to always be something to look forward to.
